Lessons & Offerings

Private Singing Lessons & Singing Technique Classes

Students of all abilities and levels are welcome, whether you are learning to match pitch, or have been singing professionally for years. Students develop a strong foundation of technique and song interpretation essential for them to grow as a singer and artist in a supportive environment. Each student is unique, and each student is given the guidance needed to reach their full potential.

Cabaret Series

Bill Reed Voice Studio encourages all students to participate in our Cabaret Series held periodically throughout the year. These cabarets are safe places for students of all levels and abilities to meet one another, perform music they have been working on their lessons, and build confidence in their singing. Past Cabaret Series have included music from the 20s through the 90s, The Great American Song Book, Sondheim, Disney, as well as traditional and modern holiday music.

The Singer's Art Concert Series

The mission of The Singer’s Art Concert Series is to bring former students who are now working professionally back to Vermont to perform for family, friends, current developing singers, and appreciators of the vocal arts. This is an important opportunity for budding singers to be inspired by hearing, seeing and speaking with young professionals who have successfully completed the training process, and are now auditioning and appearing on opera and concert stages nationally.

Past performances include

"Jennifer-Bird, Soprano in recital"

"An Afternoon of Art Songs, Arias & Duets" Featuring Natalia Salemmo - soprano, Veronica Jensen - mezzo-soprano, Christopher Colmenero - tenor, and Geoffrey Penar - baritone

"Singers On Stage: Featuring All State Solo Competition Finalists"

"Sentiments & Suitcases" with Taryn Noelle & Tom Cleary, Featuring the Blue Gardenias

Workshops & Masterclasses

Workshops give students the unique opportunity to work with guest clinicians and focus on different singing styles (from musical theatre to jazz) as well as song interpretation. Past clinicians have included Kerstin Anderson, Kevin McGuire, Michelle Dawson, Cady Huffman, Kate Wetherhead, Tom Carder, Alan Langdon, Scott LaFeber, Evita Cobo, Jennifer Bird, and Tom Cleary. We also offer exciting theme-based weekend workshops, focusing on music selection from different eras and genres. These workshops and masterclasses often feature a working performance of the student's song or culminate in a cabaret where students perform the song they have been working on during the workshop.
